You can now configure which LibChat Departments you will be monitoring when you first sign in to the LibChat Dashboard.
While the Ask a Librarian Academic and Statewide queues don’t begin until 10:00am EST, many librarians staff their library’s local queue earlier in the morning. LibChat’s default is to connect you to all of the queues that you have been given the rights to, so if you connect to staff the chat for your library at 8:00am you must immediately select “Not Monitoring” for the Academic and Statewide queues to prevent patrons from being routed to those queues and becoming missed chats.
