Brief Exemplary Reference Award: Rhonda Trueman, North West Florida State College Rhonda T. did an excellent job of giving encouragement to a high school student who was unsure of how to analyze the characters in the Odyssey. Rhonda gave suggestions that helped the student to continue in the right direction in analyzing the Odyssey, and the student was grateful for the interaction! Detailed Exemplary Reference Award: Alicia Kobak, Palm Beach County Alicia navigated a student through a database and find the full text of an article they were looking for. The student even responded "librarians are the best!!!" Way to go Alicia Teaching Exemplary Reference Award: Beth King, Valencia College An exemplary reference transaction! The student needed help writing a critical essay on a book and didn't know where to start. Beth taught the student how to access the appropriate databases and also how to navigate the catalog.
