SpringShare recently updated LibChat and LibAnswers to include some new features we think you will want to implement in your Ask a Librarian account.  

Set Away Status
This feature lets you "step away" from the Chat desk without going offline.  When you return, you simply Set Back when you return.  

Idle Time and Message 
This feature can be set to send an automated message at a set interval to the customer while you are working on their question.  

Saved Chat Settings
A number of features are included in this update.  First, you can set the default department you staff when you go Online in LibChat.  Other departments can be monitored by manually checking them.  A similar feature, to set the default queues you monitor (for email) is also available.  And, a default setting for sound being muted is included.
