I wonder if anybody has a suggestion.

I have a question (not on AskALibrarian) about #s of African American elected officials before the Voting Rights Act of 1965 was issued.

The patron, a faculty member, will take whatever he can get – there is no time limit for how far back he would like the information to reflect.
