If you aren't seeing texts, make sure you are selecting Texting when you log in. Everyone on the collaborative desk should be answering texts.

There have been a number of text backlogs lately when I’ve logged in, with patrons left hanging for hours waiting on an answer.

It may be staff aren’t seeing them because they forget to check the box for Texting at the login.
